This formula was originally prepared as part of a ritual by the Ojibway Indians. The formula was given to Rene Caisse, a Canadian nurse, in 1922 and became known as the "Essiac" Tonic (Essiac is Caisse spelled backwards). This formula works at the cellular level to cleanse and rejuvenate degenerated tissues by effectively removing toxins and fluid wastes from the body.* It also supports gastrointestinal health and soothes the tender tissue lining the GI tract.*

As an herbalist I find this to be a simple formula, but I am pleased that so many of our customers over the last 20 years feel better and have achieved positive results.

Ingredients: Burdock fresh-dried root (Arctium lappa), Sheep Sorrel fresh-dried flower (Rumex acetosella), Slippery Elm fresh-dried bark (Ulmus fulva), Turkey Rhubarb fresh-dried root (Rheum palmatum).
