St. John's Wort
Promotes positive thought
St. John’s Wort has been used traditionally for depression and nervous system disorders. It helps lift one’s spirit and promotes positive thoughts. It will feed and strengthen the nervous system, relieving feelings of being overwhelmed, nervous tension, irritability, worrying, the ‘grumpies’, and irrational behavior. Studies show how St. John’s Wort is as effective as pharmaceutical antidepressants for the treatment of mild to moderate depression, and works without side effects. The medicinal constituents of St. John’s Wort that feed positivety into one’s mental outlook are hypericin, pseudohypericin, and a rich flavonoid content. Together they help increase the neurotransmitters in the brain – serotonin, dopamine, and norepinephrine, which make a person feel positively good.
